Cool site

This site was recommended to me today. I have yet to really try it out, but I have high hopes for it.

Basically, what shoppingnotes.com does for you is be your personal price checker. When you find an item you like, but are waiting for the price to drop, you can have this site keep tabs for you. You just need to copy and paste the product page's url and an email address in which they can notify you of any price changes. And wham, bam, well, you know the rest.

I know there's been plenty of times where I've waited and waited for something to go down in price, but eventually give in and just buy it at full price only to find it on sale a week later! This site will hopefully cut down on those instances.

Enjoy!

IM etiquette

Came across this interesting video here and found it pretty funny. Here's a few silly, but possibly useful, tips for chatting online.

1) Start with a hello or some other clever greeting
2) Try not to trail off - It will calm their insecurities that you are purposely ignoring them
3) Use your away messages - Or you'll end up with a bajillion windows open
4) When you're back on that computer, change your away status - your boyfriend may wonder why your lunch date w/ a "male friend" lasted FOUR hours
5) Go invisible if you don't want to be bothered - (I tend to just shut it off to prevent any distractions)
6) Let people know when you're signing off - It's common courtesy. You wouldn't walk away from a real life conversation without saying goodbye would you???

There you have it, some tips to online chatting. If you think of others, feel free to comment.

So sorry I've been so MIA - with thesis, senior week and graduation ceremonies, I've been v. distracted.

Will return for now, go on vaca, and be back shortly. I promise :)
